The Cleveland Indians have announced their 2016 Hall of Fame Class of Jim Thome, Frank Robinson, Albert Belle and Charlie Jamieson.

Thome, a 5-time All-Star is the home run franchise leader with 337. In 1995, Belle had his became the first player to hit 50 home runs and 50 doubles in a single season. Frank Robinson played in Cleveland at the end of his career, 1974-76 and then became the first African-American manager in baseball in 1975-77 for the team. Jamieson was a member of the 1920 World Series championship team that defeated the Brooklyn Robins, who would later become the Dodgers.

The ceremony will be held before the July 30th game, against the Oakland Athletics.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end, and Cleveland Heights native, Travis Kelce became the NFL's second highest paid tight end Friday after signing a 5-year, $46M extension, with around $20M guaranteed. Kelce will receive a signing bonus just under $10M. The new deal has a max value of $50M including incentives. Along with the new deal, E! Entertainment Television is developing an eight episode reality TV dating series for Kelce, titled "Catching Kelce".

In addition to the $31 million the Panthers will pay Cam Newton this season, he now makes $11 million annually from deals with companies including PepsiCo's Gatorade, Microsoft, General Motors, and Under Armour. “Last Friday, it was $10 million” said his agent, Carlos Fleming of WME/IMG, declining to say which deals include bonuses for reaching the Feb. 7 Super Bowl in Santa Clara, Calif. Newton trails Denver Broncos quarterback -- and Super Bowl opponent -- Peyton Manning.

According to Forbes, Manning earns $12 million from contracts with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., Papa John’s International Inc., DirecTV and others.

In case you missed it, the 2016 NBA All-Star Reserves were announced. While the fans selected the starters for the East and West, the coaches around the league select the reserves.

Maty Mauk, quarterback of the Missouri Tigers, has been dismissed from the team. His dismissal comes a week after a video appeared on social media of Mauk snorting a white substance, believed to be cocaine. Coach Barry Odom said in a statement "After gathering evidence and speaking with a number of individuals this week, it is clear Maty has failed to live up to those expectations by violating team rules in recent weeks."

This is the third suspension for Mauk since September. The university has said they remain committed to helping him work through his challenges and earn his degree.

Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is being investigated by police in Texas following a disturbance during which he may have assaulted his ex-girlfriend.

Manziel, who has had two tumultuous seasons in the NFL, was identified by Forth Worth, Texas, police after they were called at about 2 a.m. Saturday to investigate a report of a possible assault at an apartment complex. The officers didn't find the person who called, but they spoke to an unidentified 23-year-old woman who said she was "involved in a disturbance with her ex-boyfriend" earlier that night in Dallas. Police later identified him as Manziel. There were no arrests, and it's not clear if Manziel has yet been questioned.

The police report said the woman was uncooperative with officers, who were unable to locate a crime scene. The woman raised concerns about her ex-boyfriend's well-being. Police tried calling Manziel's cell phone and searching for him before determining he was safe.

Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesman Craig Cvetan said Browns undrafted free agent safety De'Ante Saunders who is on the practice squad was pulled over on I-71 southbound at 2:16 am Christmas morning for speeding,(going 75mph in a 60) and was eventually arrested for OVI. The Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesman said Saunders had a handgun in the car without a permit and his case will be forwarded to the Cuyahoga County prosecutor for review to determine if he will be charged with having a weapon while intoxicated. De'Ante Saunders' passenger Browns OLB Armonty Bryant was arrested for possession of Adderall and couldn't produce a prescription at the time of his arrest. Bryant was not charged, but his case has been forwarded to prosecutor's office for charges if he can't produce a prescription.

Adderall is a banned substance in NFL if you don't have a prescription.

Bryant could be disciplined by the league and placed in the substance abuse program if he is not in it currently. In May 2013, a week after being drafted by the Browns Bryant was arrested on a DUI charge in Oklahoma. He pleaded no contest. In college, Bryant also pleaded no contest to a felony charge of distributing marijuana in the school zone of East Central University. Armonty Bryant is on probation. Armonty Bryant did not travel with the team and will be inactive for today's game agains Kansas City.

- Florida State quarterback Everett Golson will miss the Peach Bowl against the Houston Cougars while dealing with the death of a family member.

Golson transferred to FSU as a graduate transfer from Notre Dame last spring. Golson was the quarterback when Notre Dame went to the BCS Championship Game vs. Alabama after the 2012 season. He missed the 2013 season because of academic issues and returned in 2014. He finishes 2015 with a stat line of 147-219 passing for 1,778 yards and 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. Sean Maguire will be the starter for the Seminoles.

- A partially torn left quadricep will keep Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin out indefinitely. He underwent a MRI Saturday that revealed the tear. Griffin will have the injury re-evaluated to two weeks to determine the next course of action. Griffin is averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and five assists in 30 games this season for Los Angeles. The five-time All-Star was third among Western Conference forwards in the first returns of All-Star balloting on Friday.

Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman and Phillies' Ryan Howard are MLB players linked to same report accusing Peyton Manning of using HGH. Peyton Manning has responded to allegations linking him to a doping ring. "The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and is totally made up making stuff up. Manning continued "It never happened. Never. I really can’t believe somebody would put something like this on the air." According to Sports Illustrated legal analyst Michael McCann said "Will Peyton Manning file a defamation lawsuit? Even as a public figure, he'd have a case--unless the report is true."

- The Western Conference won the NBA All-Star Game, 163-158 on Sunday.

The 321 combined points are the most in an NBA All-Star Game. Coming off the bench for the West, Russell Westbrook scored 27 points in 11 minutes in the first half of the game. Westbrook was the 2015 All Star MVP scoring 41 points on 16/28 shooting, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals in 26 minutes. His 41 points are 1 shy of Wilt Chamberlain's All-Star Game record for most points in a game, 42.

While scoring 30 points, LeBron James passed Michael Jordan (262) for 2nd on the all-time All-Star Game points list. Only Kobe Bryant (280) has more than LeBron (278).

-The New York Knicks announced the official buyout of forward Amar'e Stoudemire. Stoudemire gave back nearly $2 million dollars in his buyout of the final year of his contract. It's reported that he has committed to signing a deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

-Yesterday was the first official day NFL teams were eligible to franchise (one year deal for a player guaranteed) and use the transition tag (other team may sign with current team having first rights to match) on their players.
