WWE Roadblock: End of the Line Preview

By Brandon Albright, @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE brings you the WWE Roadblock: End of the Line Preview. WWE Roadblock: End of the Line takes place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event will be the second to take place in the WWE Roadblock series of pay per views. You can catch the show live on the WWE Network, but as always you can also catch the recap at Triple Threat CLE on Monday afternoon.

- "WWE Universal Championship Match": Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns: Last month at WWE Survivor Series, Owens and Reigns were forced to team together and came up on the losing end for Team RAW. Two weeks before WWE Roadblock, Reigns was granted the opportunity to face Owens for a chance at becoming the #1 Contender for the WWE Universal Championship. Owens, who had been having issues with his best friend Chris Jericho, told Jericho to stay out of this match and not to help him because he was sick of people saying he couldn't win without Jericho's help. Jericho stayed away like asked and Reigns ended up defeating Owens to become the new #1 Contender to Owens' WWE Universal Championship.

- "WWE Cruiserweight Championship, Triple Threat Match": Rich Swann (c) vs. Brian Kendrick vs. TJ Perkins: Three weeks ago on the debut edition of 205 Live, Rich Swann defeated Brian Kendrick to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Swann would go on to defeat Kendrick again in a rematch with his newly won title on the line a week later. Kendrick, upset that he lost, attacked TJ Perkins, who was on commentary, which also forced Swann to jump in on the brawl too. Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon officially announced a Triple Threat Match at WWE Roadblock between Swann, Perkins and Kendrick with the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line.

- "WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship Match": The New Day (c) vs. Sheamus and Cesaro: The New Day made history just one week before WWE Roadblock as they became the longest reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions, surpassing Demolition's 478 day record. Sheamus and Cesaro, who were forced to team together by Mick Foley have had a rocky relationship and refuse to give respect to each other. One week before WWE Roadblock, Sheamus and Cesaro won a #1 contenders match, earning them a shot at The New Day and the WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship.

- "WWE RAW Women's Championship, 30 Minute Ironman Match": Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte: These two ladies have had a hell of a feud this summer into fall, that has seen one on one matches, tag matches, a Hell In A Cell match, a Falls Count Anywhere Match and now things have led to a 30 Minute Ironman Match. Sasha and Charlotte have traded the WWE RAW Women's Championship back and forth with each other during the feud and look to put it all on the line again at WWE Roadblock. Charlotte's father, Ric Flair, also returned to the WWE and has stood by and supported Sasha Banks so far in this feud, after Charlotte kicked her father to the curb over the summer.

- Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho: Last month at WWE Survivor Series, Jericho and Rollins were forced to team up and came up on the losing end for Team RAW. In the weeks leading up to WWE Roadblock, Jericho began to have a falling out with his best friend Kevin Owens. Owens decided that he no longer wanted Jericho's help winning matches because everyone was talking and saying Owens couldn't win without Jericho. Owens then felt bad for kicking Jericho to the curb, so he got Jericho a match against their nemesis Seth Rollins at WWE Roadblock. Jericho accepted the match against Rollins after Rollins Pedigreed Jericho on top of a parked car, but still refused to accept Owens' apology or accept this match as a gift from Owens. Owens would then try to help Jericho defeat Roman Reigns for the WWE United States Championship, however, Owens cost Jericho the match on accident and added more fuel to the fire.

- Big Cass vs. Rusev: Big Cass' buddy Enzo began to make flirtatious remarks to Rusev's wife Lana, angering Rusev. Two weeks before WWE Roadblock Rusev and Lana had a fight which Enzo used as an advantage to make a move on Lana. Lana invited Enzo to her hotel, which Enzo accepted, but got cold feet and decided it was a bad idea after arriving. Unfortunately for Enzo it was too late as Rusev and Lana set Enzo up by inviting him to their hotel room. Rusev appeared and beat the hell out of Enzo for attempting to sleep with his wife. One week before WWE Roadblock Rusev and Lana mocked Enzo, which brought out Big Cass, who dared Rusev to step up to him. Rusev and Cass began brawling until Rusev retreated. Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon officially announced Rusev vs. Big Cass at WWE Roadblock.

- "Ten Minute Time Limit Match": Braun Strowman vs. Sami Zayn: Braun Strowman has spent his time on RAW since the draft taking out opponents left and right. Sami Zayn decided to step up to Strowman when no one else would and challenge the monster. Mick Foley ended up stopping the match as Strowman beat down Zayn mercilessly. One week later, Zayn demanded another match against Strowman, but Foley refused to give it to him because he knows Zayn can't win. Zayn again asked for a rematch and was turned down again by Foley, forcing Zayn to threaten Foley by asking for a trade to Smackdown Live. One week before WWE Roadblock, Foley told Zayn he'd be traded to Smackdown Live for Eva Marie. Zayn refused and said he was better than that. Foley finally caves in, says that Zayn is staying on RAW and grants Zayn a rematch against Strowman in a Ten Minute Time Limit Match.
