WWE Fastlane Preview

By Brandon Albright, @B_Rock1978

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE brings you the WWE Fastlane Preview. WWE Fastlane will take place at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You can catch the event on the WWE Network, but if you miss it, just check out Triple Threat CLE on Monday afternoon as I'll bring you the full recap of the show.

- "WWE Universal Championship Match": Kevin Owens (c) vs. Goldberg: THE MAN! Goldberg returns to the ring with a WWE Universal Championship Match against Kevin Owens. Last time we seen Goldberg in the ring, Goldberg destroyed Brock Lesnar in under 2 minutes at WWE Survivor Series. Goldberg is heading to Wrestlemania 33 for another match with Brock Lesnar, but is stopping at WWE Fastlane on the way and looking to claim another championship in his career. Kevin Owens will look to shut down Goldberg's momentum, as he has continued to have a successful title run of his own. Owens has defeated Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, survived Braun Strowman and has even turned on his best friend Chris Jericho going into this match. Can Owens survive, pull out another victory and head to Wrestlemania 33 still the champ? Does the WCW icon Goldberg have one more title run left in him? And what about Chris Jericho? Will Jericho play a part in this match at all after Owens turned on him?

- "WWE RAW World Tag Team Championship Match": Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (c) vs. Enzo and Big Cass: Last month at the WWE Royal Rumble, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Cesaro and Sheamus to become the new WWE RAW World Tag Team Champions. Cesaro and Sheamus got their rematch for the titles, however, came up short after Enzo and Big Cass got involved in the match. Cesaro and Sheamus got a little revenge on Enzo and Big Cass, after Cesaro defeated Enzo in a one on one match. Mick Foley announced that Cesaro and Sheamus would battle Enzo and Big Cass to determine the #1 Contenders to Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Enzo and Big Cass went on to defeat Cesaro and Sheamus and became the new #1 Contenders. Can Enzo and Big Cass defeat The Club and claim their first world tag team championship together? Will The Club, who have been world tag team champions everywhere they've gone, defeat Enzo and Big Cass and retain their titles?

- "WWE RAW Women's Championship Match": Bayley (c) vs. Charlotte: Last month at the WWE Royal Rumble, Charlotte successfully defeated Bayley to retain the WWE RAW Women's Championship. Bayley would go on to earn herself another match against Charlotte for the title on an episode of RAW. Dana Brooke tried to interfere on behalf of Charlotte, but Sasha Banks came to Bayley's rescue, which set up Bayley in defeating Charlotte to become the new WWE RAW Women's Champion. The following week, Stephanie McMahon tried to make Bayley vacate the championship, due to the way Bayley won it, stating that Bayley was a too kind hearted person to accept a tainted title win like that. Bayley refused to vacate the championship, accepted the way she won it and granted Charlotte her rematch at WWE Fastlane. Can Bayley defeat Charlotte one more time and prove her title victory wasn't tainted? Will Charlotte defeat Bayley and continue her undefeated in title matches on pay per view streak?

- "WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match": Neville (c) vs. Jack Gallagher: Last month at the WWE Royal Rumble, Neville defeated Rich Swann to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Neville has been very vocal about his presence in the company, how he should've been the only champion and how the WWE have shown consistent resentment to Neville by not letting him compete in any of the past tournaments. With Rich Swann injured, the WWE held a Five Way Elimination Match to determine a new #1 Contender to the title, which Jack Gallagher came out of with the victory. Jack Gallagher is a gentleman's gentleman straight from England, with an arsenal of technical wrestling skills. Can Neville continue his reign as the self proclaimed King of the Cruiserweight Division and make Gallagher kneel before him? Can Gallagher outwit Neville with his wrestling smarts and defeat Neville for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship?

- Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman: Last month at the WWE Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns came up short in defeating Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship, after Braun Strowman interfered and attacked Reigns. Strowman stated that he helped Owens retain because he hated Roman Reigns and Owens promised Strowman a title shot. Owens ended up retaining his WWE Universal Championship against Strowman after Reigns interfered and attacked Strowman. Strowman would go on to destroy four up and comers and then demand better competition from RAW GM Mick Foley. Foley announced that Strowman would face Roman Reigns at WWE Fastlane. Weeks leading up to the event, Reigns and Strowman continued to interfere in each others matches and try to get the upper hand on a attack. Can Reigns defeat the monster Braun Strowman who's been rolling over his competition? Will Strowman make Reigns another victim and stay undefeated on RAW?

- Samoa Joe vs. Sami Zayn: Samoa Joe made his debut on the RAW roster after the WWE Royal Rumble and immediately injured Seth Rollins. When asked about his intentions, Joe stated he's on RAW to hurt people not smile and wave like Sami Zayn. Zayn would go on to call out Joe for the comments he made and Zayn ended up getting attacked by Joe and choked out in the Coquina Clutch submission. Zayn would get his revenge the following week when he attacked Joe from behind, forcing WWE Security to try to separate both men. Zayn would go on to wipe out Security and Joe with a dive from the stage. Later in the evening, Samoa Joe vs. Sami Zayn was made official for WWE Fastlane.

- Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks: Last month at WWE Royal Rumble, Nia Jax defeated Sasha Banks in a one on one match. Sasha, however, was not at 100% in the match due to a knee injury. Sasha Banks will be forced to battle Nia Jax again at WWE Fastlane as punishment from Stephanie McMahon, after Sasha helped Bayley defeat Charlotte to win the WWE RAW Women's Championship. Can Sasha finally defeat the undefeated monster? Will Nia Jax break the self proclaimed "Boss"?

- Noam Dar and Brian Kendrick vs. Akira Tozawa and Rich Swann: Akira Tozawa made his 205 Live debut and immediately began having issues with Brian Kendrick. Tozawa wanted nothing to do with Kendrick's attempts at being Tozawa's mentor and Tozawa would pay with weekly attacks from behind by Kendrick. Meanwhile, Rich Swann has just returned from an injury and has begun a feud with Noam Dar after Swann made comments about Dar's girlfriend Alicia Fox. Tozawa and Swann have been teamed up together to battle Kendrick and Dar in hopes of both feuds finally concluding.
