NXT Takeover: The End Results #NXTTakeOver #NXTTheEnd

NXT Takeover: The End was live at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. On tonight's show we witnessed Tye Dillinger go one on one against NXT newcomer Andrade Cien Almas. A new #1 contender to the NXT World Title was decided as Austin Aries went one on one against Shinsuke Nakamura. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable, aka American Alpha, put up their NXT World Tag Team Championship against Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, aka The Revival. NXT Women's Champion Asuka battled Nia Jax with the NXT Women's Championship on the line. In the main event, Samoa Joe defended the NXT World Title against Finn Balor in the first ever NXT Steel Cage Match.

*** NXT Takeover: The End ***

- Tye Dillinger vs. Andrade Cien Almas: Tonight was the official debut of independent wrestler Andrade Cien Almas. The match closes out with Almas landing on his feet after a moonsault attempt and lands a standing moonsault on Tye for a near fall. Tye counters an Almas hand stand in the corner with a kick to the face. Almas counters the Tye Breaker with a handspring double knee strike. Almas hits Tye with a wheelbarrow bulldog and running double knees in the corner to score the pinfall.
Winner: Andrade Cien Almas, by pinfall.

- "NXT World Tag Team Championship Match": American Alpha (c) vs. The Revival: The match closes out with Chad Gable locking Scott Dawson in the ankle lock submission. Dawson escapes and kicks Gable toward the ropes where Dash Wilder hits Gable in the face. Dawson gets a near fall rollup on Gable as Wilder is back in the ring. Wilder picks Gable up for a power bomb as Dawson leaps off the ropes. Gable escapes the power bomb, catches Wilder and hits a mid air belly to belly suplex for a near fall. Jordan and Gable go for the Grand Amplitude double team finisher, but Dawson pushes Gable out of the way. The Revival hit the Shatter Machine on Jordan and score the pinfall.
The Revival become the first two time tag team champions in NXT history. After the match, two huge muscular men, dressed in black, hit the ring and viciously beat down Jordan and Gable. Paul Ellering, former manager of the legendary tag team The Road Warriors, appears on the NXT stage and watches the carnage. The two muscular men meet with Ellering and leave together.
Winners: The Revival, by pinfall, to win the NXT World Tag Team Championship.

- "#1 Contenders Match": Austin Aries vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: The match closes out with Aries trapping Nakamura in the Last Chancery submission, but Nakamura gets to the ropes. Aries lands a hurricanrana, but Nakamura comes back with a charging drop kick. Aries goes for a 450 splash, but Nakamura moves. Nakamura goes for a corner running knee, but Aries moves and smacks Nakamura in the face. Aries and Nakamura end up on the apron as Aries went for a suplex. Aries catches a charging Nakamura and plants him on the apron with the Death Valley Driver. Aries goes for the suicide dive, but Nakamura moves and Aries kisses the barricade. Back in the ring, Nakamura nails a middle rope Kinshasa on Aries and follows up with an exploder suplex. Nakamura hits one more running Kinshasa on Aries and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura, by pinfall.

- "NXT Women’s Championship Match": Asuka (c) vs Nia Jax: The match closes out with Nia slamming Asuka, but misses her leg drop. Asuka hits a shining wizard and gets a near fall. Asuka lands a second rope drop kick, a series of spinning back fists and a running hip attack on Nia. Nia plants Asuka with a power bomb, but Asuka counters a pin attempt with an arm bar on Nia. Asuka turns that into a seated arm bar and attempts to turn that into the Asuka Lock submission. Asuka can't lock it so she kicks Nia in the head repeatedly. Nia is on the mat and yells at Asuka. Asuka charges and nails Nia in the head with a knee and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Asuka, by pinfall, to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

- Earlier in the day, NXT GM William Regal was being interviewed when suddenly former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Roode, walked by and went into Regal's office. Regal asked to be excused and followed.

- "NXT World Title Steel Cage Match": Samoa Joe (c) vs Finn Balor: The match closes out with Joe and Balor trading punches on top of the cage. Balor hits Sling Blade on Joe off the cage and gets a near fall. Balor hits another Sling Blade, but misses a corner drop kick. Joe hits a senton on Balor and a Muscle Buster for a near fall. Joe screams at Balor that he will end him and unloads a series of kicks on Balor. Balor blocks a kick and sends Joe into the cage wall twice. Balor hits another Sling Blade on Joe and then drop kicks Joe into the corner. Balor hits another corner drop kick, goes to the top rope and hits the double stomp for the near fall.
Joe counters 1916 and locks Balor in the Coquina Clutch submission. Balor escapes and hits another double stomp on Joe. Balor climbs the cage and Joe chases after. Balor kicks Joe away, but Joe keeps coming and grabs Balor as he stood on the second rope. Joe picks up Balor and leaps off the second rope, hitting a Super Muscle Buster on Balor. Joe covers, scores the pinfall and retains the championship. After the match, Joe celebrates as NXT medical check on Balor to end the show.
Winner: Samoa Joe, by pinfall, to retain the NXT World Title.
