Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, 3.22.16: RAW

Wrestling Lockup with Brandon, brought to you by Triple Threat CLE, is back with the RAW Recap Edition. 

This week's RAW was live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. AJ Styles faced WWE Intercontinental champion, Kevin Owens, in a one on one non-title rematch from Thursday's Smackdown. Kevin Owens also gets a triple threat match set up by The Authority to give him a Wrestlemania opponent. Hardcore legend, Terry Funk, makes an appearance. Big E of The New Day battled Rusev of The League of Nations. Chris Jericho went one on one with Fandango. WWE Divas Champion, Charlotte, battled Nattie Neidhart in one on one Divas action. Bubba Ray Dudley battled R-Truth. Vince McMahon makes another stipulation for the Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker Hell In A Cell Match at Wrestlemania. Dean Ambrose battled Braun Strowman of The Wyatt Family in the main event.

- Stephanie McMahon Promo: Stephanie informs us Triple H isn't here tonight due to WWE business and it has nothing to do with Roman Reigns' attack last Monday. Stephanie begins a Reigns isn't fit to be a champion speech when Reigns interrupts. Reigns says the real reason Triple H isn't here is because he got his ass kicked last Monday and Reigns plans to do the same thing to Triple H at Wrestlemania. Stephanie goes for a slap on Reigns' face, but Reigns catches her hand. Reigns sends a warning to Stephanie stating that "Roman Reigns is now The Authority".

- Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles: The match closes out with, Styles turning a torture rack into a flapjack and planting Owens into the mat for a near fall. Styles goes to the top rope, but Owens cuts Styles off and stops him up top. Styles comes back and drops Owens off the second rope with a power bomb and gets another near fall. Chris Jericho hits ringside and goes after Styles, causing a distraction. Owens capitalizes, rolls Styles up from behind and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Kevin Owens, by pinfall.

- Kevin Owens Promo: After the match, Owens grabs a mic and says he still has no Wrestlemania opponent and wonders who should face him for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Dolph Ziggler interrupts and thinks he should get Owens. The Miz interrupts next and says Ziggler doesn't deserve it, he does. Sami Zayn interrupts next and says with all due respect, neither Ziggler or Miz should get it, instead Zayn should. Owens thinks none of them deserve a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship, but will go talk to The Authority and get a triple threat #1 contenders match for Ziggler, Miz and Zayn to compete in.

- Dean Ambrose Segment: Ambrose is at a local bar ranting about Brock Lesnar. The camera reveals Ambrose talking to the hardcore legend, Terry Funk. Funk says he really likes Ambrose and has a gift for him. Funk gives Ambrose his chainsaw and Ambrose tests it out on the wood table.

- Backstage, Stephanie McMahon agrees to the triple threat match to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- League Of Nations Promo: The LON mock and brag about how they beat down The New Day last Monday. The New Day hit the ring, call the LON trash and a brawl breaks out. Order is finally restored and we have a one on one match between Big E and Rusev.

- Big E. vs. Rusev: The match closes out with, Rusev getting a near fall thrust kick. Big E hits a running splash on Rusev. King Barrett distracts Big E, allowing Rusev to land another thrust kick. Woods attacks Barrett and Del Rio, but gets clotheslined by Sheamus. Rusev dodges a Big E spear, causing Big E to nail Sheamus instead. Kofi hits a kick on Rusev and Big E hits the Big Ending on Rusev for the pinfall.
Winner: Big E, by pinfall.

- Big Show Promo: Big Show talks about the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania and how he won last year. The Social Outcasts interrupt and attack Big Show. Kane hits the ring, clears out the Outcasts and makes the save for Big Show. Big Show thanks Kane, but gets choke slammed in return by Kane.

- Stan Hansen is announced as the next inductee into the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame.

- Fandango vs. Chris Jericho: The match closes out with, Fandango landing a leg lariat and goes to the top rope. Fandango misses his top rope leg drop, allowing Jericho to apply the Walls Of Jericho submission. AJ Styles hits the ring and tries to distract Jericho. The distraction doesn't work though as Jericho hits the Code Breaker on Fandango for the pinfall. After the match, Jericho runs for his life as Styles chases him. Styles challenges Jericho to a match at Wrestlemania.
Winner: Chris Jericho, by pinfall.

- "Triple Threat Match": Stardust vs. Sin Cara vs. Zack Ryder: Kevin Owens comes out before the match and announces that this is the triple threat match he was talking about to give him a Wrestlemania opponent. The match closes out with, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz and Sami Zayn coming down to confront Owens. All six man gang up on Owens, forcing the referee to throw the match out.
Winner: No-Contest

- Backstage, Stephanie McMahon tells Kevin Owens he will now battle all six guys in a ladder match at Wrestlemania with Owens' WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line.

- Backstage, Stephanie McMahon is greeted by Triple H and they get in their vehicle to leave. Roman Reigns comes out of nowhere and beats down Triple H. Triple H escapes, jumps in his vehicle and pulls out.

- Charlotte vs. Nattie Neidhart: Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch are at ringside when Charlotte goes outside to run her mouth to them. Back in the ring, Charlotte unloads the Flair family chops on Nattie. Charlotte goes for the ten punches in the corner when Nattie drops Charlotte with a power bomb. Nattie locks Charlotte in the Sharpshooter submission, but Charlotte reaches the ropes. Charlotte is up and hits Natural Selection on Nattie to score the pinfall.
Winner: Charlotte, by pinfall.

- Bubba Ray Dudley vs. R-Truth: The match closes out with, Truth hitting Bubba with the corkscrew elbow, a leg lariat and then goes for the axe kick. Devon hops on the apron and distracts Truth. Bubba hits a boot on Truth and scores the pinfall. After the match, The Dudley Boys beat down Truth. Goldust hits the ring, but gets beat down by the Dudleys too. The Usos hit the ring and land Uso Kicks on both Dudleys. The Usos try to put Devon through a table, but Bubba grabs Devon and pulls him to safety.
Winner: Bubba Ray Dudley, by pinfall.

- Vince McMahon Promo: Vince recaps last weeks fight between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker. Vince says The Undertaker is his greatest creation and he's also Vince's bitch. Vince announces that if The Undertaker loses to Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania, then The Undertaker will be banned for life from ever competing at Wrestlemania ever again.

- Dean Ambrose vs. Braun Strowman: The match closes out with, Strowman applying a submission and goes for a power bomb on Ambrose. Ambrose counters and hits a drop kick on the monster. Strowman misses a charging shoulder block, as Ambrose rolls to the floor. Ambrose grabs a steel chair and catches the DQ loss after busting Strowman in the head with the chair. After the match, Ambrose unloads a series of chair shots on Strowman. Ambrose then gets the monster down with Dirty Deeds right on top of the steel chair.
Winner: Braun Strowman, by DQ.
